The Hamilton 4th of July Parade is one of the largest in the region, and we want to make it as vibrant, creative, and memorable as possible.

To help support that goal, the Hamilton Community Foundation, City of Hamilton, and Special Improvement District (SID) are partnering to offer a limited number of float stipends for groups participating in the 2026 parade.

Organizations and groups may request up to $500 to help cover the cost of materials that enhance their float and take their participation to the next level.

These funds are intended to help make the parade more exciting for spectators while also helping reduce cost barriers for participants.

What the stipend can support

Stipends are intended for materials used to build or enhance your float. Including: Decorations, props, and other float enhancements

Funds may not be used for: Vehicle expenses, performers, other overhead or payroll, or signage.

The 4th of July Committee reserves the right to make final decisions regarding what expenses are eligible for stipend support.

Funding is limited. We encourage applicants to request only the amount needed to strengthen their float so we can spread support across as many parade participants as possible.
