Marching in the 4th of July Parade

Bands are Encouraged to Travel Together.

Hamilton’s July 4th Committee provides a bus transportation stipend for all participating bands to help streamline arrival and lineup at the Fairgrounds. Bands are strongly encouraged to meet off-site and travel to the Fairgrounds together by bus whenever possible. This helps reduce congestion, keeps students organized, and allows the lineup process to run more smoothly for everyone.

Please check with your band director or school staff for travel plans specific to your band. They are the primary contact for all band members participating in the parade.

For Those Coming to the Fairgrounds

Student and instrument drop-off must take place at the designated drop-off location shown on the map below. We understand that some students or instruments may need to be dropped off individually, and a designated area is available for this purpose.

For safety reasons, vehicles that are not part of the parade lineup are not permitted past the drop-off point or inside the staging area.

The lineup area is filled with students, performers, and parade units preparing to step off, and limiting vehicle traffic helps keep everyone safe. After drop-off, students and families should plan to walk to and from the lineup area. Vehicles cannot remain inside the staging area after the parade begins for any reason.

Anyone parking for the duration of the parade must park outside the fairgrounds fencing. Overflow parking is available at Butler County Children Services (300 N. Fair Ave). This lot is about a 6–10 minute walk from the main Fairgrounds entrance.
